A Utah windshield repair shop owner who was charged with identity fraud and fraudulent insurance acts in April has agreed to pay $549.33 to the state’s insurance fraud division, along with $1,000 restitution to the state for the costs of the investigation, according to a representative of the 2nd District Court-Farmington Department.

Property owners in Virginia have submitted hundreds of claims to insurers for damage caused by recent tornadoes. The Virginian-Pilot reports that State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co. received about 400 claims by Wednesday morning

An Arizona bill that could adapt the state’s insurance code to include language about auto glass inspections passed the state Senate with a vote of 24-5 yesterday. It will now go the Arizona House of Representatives for review.
