JN Phillips Assistant Vice President Recognized by Boston Red Sox

Chris Howard hasn’t always worked in the auto glass industry. The JN Phillips vice president of sales started his career as a relief pitcher for the Boston Red Sox in 1994 and even roomed with Roger Clemens. This past April the Red Sox recognized Howard, along with other former players, at the 100th birthday of Fenway Park, the famed Red Sox baseball park.

Auto Sunroof Giant Says Today’s Tops Don’t Leak

The world’s largest maker of automotive sunroofs and convertibles want you to know something about their product: They don’t leak. Oh, Webasto Roof Systems, which supplies about half of all the sunroofs found in today’s cars and trucks, acknowledges a problem in the past, but insists there is none now. The company took issue with Drive On’s report on panoramic sunroofs earlier this week, in which we noted how the roof openings have a “reputation” for leaks.

Boyd Group to Acquire Cars Collision Center’s 28 Locations

Boyd Group Income Fund, which owns Boyd Autobody and Glass, Gerber Collision and Glass and Gerber National Glass Services, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Cars Collision Center of Colorado LLC and Cars Collision Center LLC, which own a total of 28 collision repair centers in the U.S. states of Illinois, Indiana, and Colorado.
