AGC Glass Company North America has announced that it is planning to restart its idled G1 float glass line located at its Greenland manufacturing plant in Hawkins County, Tenn., toward the end of the year.

A team of researchers from the University of Stuttgart, University of Duisburg-Essen and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence have created a prototype automotive steering wheel that uses a touch screen to enable the driver to control things such as the radio or navigate a map without having to take their eyes off the road.

Texas Bankruptcy Court Approves Auction of Vitro America Assets

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of North Texas ruled on Friday that it will permit Vitro America LLC and three other indirect Vitro subsidiaries to sell substantially all their assets, including Binswanger Glass, through an auction, according to reports from Bloomberg.

The Coast to Coast Auto Glass website, which was located at www.glassc2c.com, has been removed from the public domain. Likewise, an e-mail sent to company spokesperson Rhonda Jacobson was met with an auto response that she should now be contacted at a new e-mail address ending in @autoglassshop.com.
