It took Eaton County Magistrate Brien Fortino about 10 minutes to dispense justice in a case against a good Samaritan who tried to help a fellow motorist out of a jam. Villarreal, who lives in Lansing, works for Visions Auto Glass.

Michigan TPA Code of Conduct Bill Passed Unanimously by State Senate

The Michigan State Senate has passed legislation that could place several requirements on third-party administrators, including the addition of a code of conduct by which those that also provide auto glass services would have to abide in order to maintain both services. The bill passed the Senate this morning with a vote of 38-0.

OLED Solar Sun Roof Turning Real

Philips and BASF have teamed up to create an OLED concept for your car that would also function as a high-tech roof. The idea is that the sunroof will let in light during the days and also charges the solar cells at the same time, and at night, the panels turn into a light powered by the electricity stored earlier.

GlasWeld Motion for Summary Judgment Granted in Suit Filed by Mike Boyle

Bend, Ore.-based GlasWeld’s motion for summary judgment was granted yesterday by the Deschutes County (Ore.) Circuit Court in the case filed against it last August by former president Mike Boyle, according to a representative of Judge Michael Adler’s office.

Audi Details A3 Sportback e-tron Tech Study

No less than five different vehicles with alternative drivetrains have been presented by Audi at the 11th Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin yesterday, all showcasing the automaker’s take on future mobility.
