Boyd Group Income Fund Reports 31.7 Percent First-Quarter Increase in Sales

The Boyd Group Income Fund, which owns Boyd Autobody and Glass, Gerber Collision and Glass and Gerber National Glass Services, has reported that its sales increased by 31.7 percent to $107.4 million for the first quarter of 2012, compared with $81.6 million in the first quarter of 2011.

NSG’s Naylor Resigns

NSG Group president and CEO Craig Naylor has resigned from the company, effective today, just two years after being named to the post in April 2010. Company officials have attributed Naylor’s decision to leave to “fundamental disagreements.”

Boyd Group Acquires Washington Repair Center

The Boyd Group Inc., has acquired Body Craft Collision Center in Marysville, Wash., and will be re-opening it as a Gerber Collision and Glass location. The new 12,200 square foot location has 10,000 square feet of production space and will expand Gerber’s service coverage in that local area.

The Boyd Group Inc. on Thursday announced the acquisition of Advanced Collision Solutions, a collision repair facility based in Spring Grove, Ill. The 10,000-square-foot facility will operate under the Gerber Collision and Glass trade name.

NSG Announces Plans to Improve Profitability in 2012

The NSG Group, which announced several executive appointments yesterday and a reorganization of its business units, today announced plans to improve its overall profitability in fiscal-year (FY) 2012. The plans include the “mothballing of one of the group’s float lines in the United Kingdom,” along with a global reduction of 3,500 employees.

NSG Group Appoints New Executive VP; Divides Automotive Business Units into AGR, OE

The Japan-based NSG Group has appointed Keiji Yoshikawa as its representative executive officer, executive vice president of the company, and chief project management officer. In addition, the company has divided its automotive business unit into two strategic business units (SBUs): the auto glass replacement (AGR) and original-equipment (OE).

ROLAGS Committee Seeks New Members; Deadline Approaches

NSG Automotive President Mike Fallon to Retire

The NSG Group has announced that Mike Fallon, executive director and president of its automotive worldwide division, has decided to retire after 33 years service with the company. Fallon’s retirement will take effect in June 2012.

Boyd Group Income Fund, which owns Boyd Autobody and Glass, Gerber Collision and Glass and Gerber National Glass Services, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Cars Collision Center of Colorado LLC and Cars Collision Center LLC, which own a total of 28 collision repair centers in the U.S. states of Illinois, Indiana, and Colorado.
