The Auto Glass Safety Council (formerly the AGRSS Council Inc.) is inviting members of the auto glass community to donate items of value to be auctioned off at the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) Silent Auction at Auto Glass Week. The auction will be taking place Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Welcoming Cocktail Party.

Guardian Industries Corp. plans to invest nearly $55 million in rebuilding one of the glass-making lines at its Carleton plant, a move that should preserve about 150 jobs, according to company officials.

The AGRSS Council Inc.’s Standard Committee is in the process of voting on some possible changes to the Standard, and hopes to submit the Standard to ANSI for approval in the coming months, according to committee chair Bob Beranek of Automotive Glass Consultants.
