Fishers Residents Assess Hail Damage

Storms raced through northern Marion County and most of Hamilton County Tuesday, leaving behind some costly damage. Car windows were smashed, nursery stock was damaged and airplanes were left dented by hail stones, sometimes as large as baseballs.

Another Economic Disaster to Ride Out

Eastern Ontario is about to suffer through yet another major blow on the manufacturing front. Windshield maker Pittsburgh Glass Works (PGW) plans to close its fabrication facility in Hawkesbury in November, taking 190 good-paying jobs with it.
