The Japan-based NSG Group has appointed Keiji Yoshikawa as its representative executive officer, executive vice president of the company, and chief project management officer. In addition, the company has divided its automotive business unit into two strategic business units (SBUs): the auto glass replacement (AGR) and original-equipment (OE).

Cathay Pacific flight CX-735 on route from Hong Kong to Singapore was forced to turn around 15 minutes after takeoff earlier this week when the pilot discovered cracks on the windshield of the cockpit.

Officials at Pittsburgh Glass Works (PGW) and several employees who filed suit against the company in October 2010 alleging age discrimination will participate in a mediation session in early February, according to court documents. During that session, the parties say they will attempt to “facilitate settlement discussions” in the ongoing suit.

Attendees exploring CES 2012 earlier this month traveling through the automotive section of the convention would have had a difficult time not at least glimpsing the Mercedez-Benz DICE Interior Concept. While the dashboard shows off menus that included media, social, and places, each of them able to control what you’re hearing and seeing around you, who you’re contacting from the vehicle, and mapping where you want to go, it was the windshield that really showed off the state of the future.

Ford Motor Co. officials unveiled their 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, rolling out the re-tooled Fusion that will take the track next season. Roush Fenway Racing driver Greg Biffle said the differences in the new car, which include changes in the angle of the windshield, a shorter trunk area and other smaller moves, created “a pretty sexy looking race car.”
