Vehicle Windows Shot Out in South Jacksonville

Windows of six parked vehicles in South Jacksonville and one in Jacksonville were shot out overnight. The vehicles were damaged by shots fired from either BB or pellet guns, according to police.

Alex Front described the large piece of metal hurtling towards his car like being in a 3-D movie. Front was on I-95 in rush hour traffic Wednesday afternoon when a metal gate from a trailer flew along the roadway and smashed into the windshield of his Lexus.

Smithville Driver, 29, Killed When Deer Smashes Windshield

A freak accident claimed the life of a Smithville man Monday night in Niagara’s third fatal car crash in four days.The 29-year-old man was killed when a deer smashed through the windshield of his pickup truck after first being hit by a car travelling in the opposite direction, Niagara Regional Police said.

Insurers Have a Busy Week in Aurora After Tornado

Several neighborhoods in Aurora are under the insurance microscope this week following the touchdown of a tornado on Sunday. State Farm Insurance estimates they have gotten 5,000 homeowner claims and 9,000 auto claims so far.
